I thought it would be fun to chronicle an entire day in photos… if anything perhaps to show me where the time goes? These are from Sunday the 23rd, so we were doing a lot of cleaning (I swear I helped even though it looks like Josh was doing all the cleaning), and just hanging out. It’s amazing how much of our day revolves around baby… not that that’s a bad thing, it just makes me wonder what I did with my time before. :p

Bedtime Routines
While he doesn’t get quite as excited as he used to, bath time is still one of Enzo’s favorite parts of the day. Now that he has teeth we’ve added to his routine, and he’s pretty happy with that too.
I love how cute the infant toothbrushes are, and was really glad that Enzo doesn’t mind the whole process… granted, he likes to take control of the reins and chew on the brush, but it’s an excellent start.
I don’t know where this month has gone. It’s not like we’ve been that busy, and yet it flies by like every other month has done. It’s crazy to think that a new year is about to start… unless you happen to think the world could still end today. I’m feeling kind of doubtful on that point, however, I wouldn’t mind if today was my last day work. Hmm…
Anyhoo, off to enjoy the evening and long weekend with family!
A tisket a tasket…
It’s probably a good thing we’re all so easily amused at our house, and it’s always interesting to see what is going to grab Enzo’s attention. This weekend it was the laundry basket.
Actually, he was just lucky the cat allowed him to play with it. Normally baskets are Uzi’s thing, but the cats are kind of afraid of the wee man at the moment. I guess it’s the shrieks of delight and joy when he sees them. They don’t quite understand he isn’t going to really kill them, not on purpose anyway…
After last week’s terrible news, I feel very lucky that I have this crazy, awesome boy in my life. While not all days are giggles and snuggles, I wouldn’t trade them for the world and can’t imagine someone taking them from me.
So, while I can’t control everything around me, I can control what kind of mom I want to be, so I will always make sure he knows just how much he is loved and do my best to ensure that he is safe and happy. We can’t choose how many days are in front of us, but we can choose to make the most of them.
Grateful
Feeling especially grateful for this little man, and family in general today.
Walking in a winter wonderland…
I meant to get these pictures up from Enzo’s first snow experience, but have been under the weather this week with a cold/sinus infection. Thanks to antibiotics should be feeling like my old self again soon. Anyhoo…
Since our first real storm of the year dropped about a foot of snow, we thought it was the perfect time for Enzo to experience it, so we bundled him up (to his dismay) and went outside.
In hindsight, waiting for it to be less windy might have been a good idea since we had snow blowing in our faces and couldn’t really enjoy it.
Enzo definitely seemed intrigued, though. He was kind of in awe and just looked around a lot squinting his eyes from how bright it was and because his parents are morons and dragged him out into the wind.
He puts up with us so well, and I’m glad he got to wear his first snow suit at least once before he outgrows it.
See? Almost enjoying it as he tries to mimic his dad! He did actually smile a few times while we were outside, though, we couldn’t catch those on camera…. probably because whenever we tried he’d get a gust of snow/wind in his face. Oh well, maybe next time he’ll get to enjoy it more.
